UNSW Science History Trail

Illustration work for UNSW Science with help from Ariana Boydell.

Students were asked to research and write about the vibrant lived experiences of scientists throughout history. The activity dispelled the myth of the scientists being privileged, white males and foregrounds the achievements of the world’s greatest thinkers. To complement this intertextual work, our designers worked closely with our client to conceptualise and illustrate the scientists and their work. These detailed illustrations draw on the research and experiences of the scientists to bring them to life through rich imagery.
